8 Things to know for college

Here's a list of things to know before attending an undergraduate college:

8. You're paying for classes. If you fail you have to pay to take them again.

7. Be ready to spend a lot of time in the library or your "quiet" place.

6. Get a laptop. You will use it for everything.

5. Apply for scholarships.

4. Don't take 8am classes. Ever.

3. Get to know your professors. You need them to write graduate school recommendations for you.

2. Make sure you attend a school that is regionally and nationally accredited.

1. Get involved and have fun. Extracurricular activities at this level can turn into networking opportunities to land a job after graduation.

Happy learning!

  1. *Don't take 8AM classes if you are a commuter. If you reside on campus, take 8AM classes. Wake up, go to class, go back to your dorm room, take a nap, then have the rest of the day to do whatever the heck you want, I mean, homework!

  2. 8am clases are also terrible if you live on campus AND you're rushing a sorority. I still say nay.

  3. I'm not sure if the moral of the story is not to rush a sorority, or not to take 8AM classes, haha.

  4. Although I was never interested in joining one, I'll give you that.
